Robert W. McChesney, John Nichols and Josh Silver founded Free Press in 2003.

Craig Aaron is our president and CEO, and Kimberly Longey is our chief operating officer.

How is Free Press funded?

Free Press is a 501(c)(3) organization. Our advocacy arm is the Free Press Action Fund, a 501(c)(4). Free Press and the Free Press Action Fund do not accept money from business, government or political parties. Our work is powered solely by donations from individual donors and grants from charitable foundations.

Where is Free Press located?

Free Press has offices in Florence, Mass., and Washington, D.C.
