It was standing room only as hundreds of Oakland residents gathered to tell Federal Communications Commission Chairman Tom Wheeler about the issues that matter most to them. The event, hosted by the Voices for Internet Freedom Coalition in partnership with the Center for Media Justice, Free Press, ColorOfChange and the National Hispanic Media Coalition, was the chairman’s first community event outside the Beltway.
