WASHINGTON -- On Thursday, Free Press launched four new videos that show viewers the impacts of the AT&T-T-Mobile merger on consumers, competition and jobs. These spoofs, which have nearly 50,000 views in 24 hours, feature legwarmers, baby phones and insulted T-Mobile customers, too. Free Press is urging viewers to vote for their favorite and spread the word.

“Facts are rarely funny, but these videos use humor to bring home the points that if AT&T takes over T-Mobile, tens of thousands will lose their jobs and consumers will face a wireless world with fewer choices and higher prices," said Josh Levy, Free Press online campaign manager. "We hope that people will see these videos and have a better understanding about exactly how bad this deal really is. And maybe laugh a little."

The videos are parodies of the familiar T-Mobile TV commercials, with a twist: They argue against the merger. Each video has a different angle: The jobs that will be lost, the rates that will go up, the choices we’ll all lose, and the new wireless duopoly that will form if AT&T takes over T-Mobile.

Viewers can go to http://attmobile.savetheinternet.com/video-vote to watch all four videos and vote for their favorite. The winner will be placed as an advertisement. Voting ends at midnight next Friday, July 29.
